Oppose religious task force

To: Gov. Little, Sen. Bjerke

From: A verified voter in Post Falls, ID

February 6

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the executive order establishing a task force to eradicate “anti-Christian bias.” While religious freedom is essential, this initiative raises serious constitutional and ethical concerns. The First Amendment ensures no religion is elevated above others, and a government-backed task force to protect one faith contradicts this principle. The initiative risks undermining the separation of church and state and sets a dangerous precedent for government intervention in religious matters. True religious freedom means equal protection for people of all faiths—and those of no faith—without government endorsement. Policies should protect all religious and non-religious communities rather than prioritizing one group’s concerns. This task force also risks politicizing religion and fostering division rather than unity. Instead of such measures, I encourage support for broader efforts that combat discrimination in all forms, ensuring that every person—regardless of faith—can live free from prejudice. I urge you to stand against this executive action and advocate for policies that uphold religious freedom for all Americans.
