Do not elect Jeffries, Schumer, or Booker for pivotal roles in Congress
To: Rep. Norcross, Sen. Kim, Sen. Booker
From: A verified voter in Sicklerville, NJ
November 5
I am writing to you today to voice my opinion on our options for speaker of the House and majority leader. I know neither I nor many other of your constituents would like Rep Hakeem Jeffries or Senator Chuck Schumer to take over these positions. Additionally I do not believe senator Cory Booker should be considered for the position of majority leader either.
They've made it far too clear in the past that they are willing to bend to the Republican will and the last thing we need is a lame duck president with Democrats on his side allowing him to continue to act his will. If any of them were to take over these positions I fear we'd be almost right back where we started with a toothless Democratic party that's unwilling to put up a fight against Republicans for fear of looking bad. The Democrats continue to play by this 2008 era of obama-style politics that frankly just do not exist in the United States government anymore. We can't keep going high every time the Republicans go low because respectability politics has been long out the window.
Please do what's right and do not elect any of these Democrats to these positions. Thank you for your time.
