Support Strong PFAS Limits in New York Drinking Water

To: Gov. Hochul

From: A verified voter in Ballston Spa, NY

August 6

Please support strong, enforceable limits on PFAS contamination in New York's drinking water. These "forever chemicals" accumulate in the body over time and have been linked to cancer, thyroid disease, and immune system damage. New Yorkers deserve water they can drink without worrying about what's in it. Other states have already moved to set strict PFAS standards, and New York should lead, not follow. The communities most exposed are often those with the least resources to fight back or find alternatives. This is a public health issue, and the state has both the authority and the obligation to act. Vote yes on any legislation that sets meaningful PFAS limits and hold polluters accountable for cleanup costs.
