The SAVE Act would impose burdensome requirements for voter registration, disproportionately impacting vulnerable groups like women, seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income citizens. There is no compelling evidence of widespread voter fraud necessitating such restrictive measures. Voting is a fundamental right in a democracy. Rather than erecting barriers, efforts should focus on expanding access and participation in the electoral process while maintaining robust security protocols. This bill threatens to disenfranchise eligible voters and undermine public faith in elections. For these reasons, I urge you to reject the SAVE Act and uphold the principles of accessible and inclusive elections for all citizens.
