Arms embargo urgently needed to stop Israeli aggression in Gaza
To: V.P. Harris
From: A constituent in Brooklyn, NY

The recent Israeli strike on a medical convoy heading to an Emirati hospital in Gaza, which killed four Palestinian aid workers, is a tragic and unacceptable violation of international humanitarian law. This blatant attack on civilian infrastructure and humanitarian access compounds the dire situation facing millions of Palestinians in Gaza, where famine and disease are rapidly spreading due to the ongoing brutal assault and siege. Such actions undermine efforts to provide vital aid and demonstrate an utter disregard for human life and dignity. An immediate and comprehensive arms embargo on Israel is imperative to prevent further senseless violence and suffering. The status quo of enabling Israeli aggression through continued arms transfers is morally indefensible and only perpetuates the cycle of violence and oppression. Concrete steps must be taken to ensure Israel is held accountable and that humanitarian operations can safely proceed unimpeded to alleviate the catastrophic conditions in Gaza.
