When you ally yourself with a war criminal to conduct a war, you will inevitably be responsible for war crimes and atrocities. We began this armed invasion of Iran by bombing a girls' elementary school during the school day, killing perhaps hundreds of children and their teachers. You cannot bring peace on the back of war. You cannot build a better government by slaughtering citizens on the way to assassinate a dictator. You cannot solve longterm problems with short-term solutions. Donald Trump campaigned on a promise of peace and an end to wars. His first 14 months in office have been plagued by armed conflict, foreign invasions, assassinations, and endless violence. He has broken his promise to the American people, and is currently creating the next generation of America-hating terrorists by slaughtering the children of a nation we have no right to be bombing. We may be seeing consequences of his choices for generations to come, and Congress must intervene. I call on you as my elected official to call for his resignation, and to back articles of impeachment if necessary. He must be stopped.
