Reject the amendment to S.140

To: Sen. Schiff, Rep. Pelosi, Sen. Padilla

From: A constituent in San Francisco, CA

July 8

Protect our public lands, our national monuments and the National Forest Service and National Parks. Do NOT ALLOW the ROADLESS RULE to be overturned. DO NOT ALLOW Trump to continue illegally diverting parks and forest funding to his vanity projects in DC. For nearly 25 years, the Roadless Rule has protected 60 million acres of national forest - keeping headwaters cold and clean, foxes, owls, bears, and other wildlife on public ground, and backcountry experiences alive. Now, USDA is moving to repeal it, opening the door to more roads, more logging, and less of what makes California and the rest of the country special. More than 4 million acres in California alone could lose protection. This isn't just about foxes or trout. It's about clean water for millions of Americans, habitat for imperiled species, and the freedom to step into a piece of wild country where you can escape the crowds and still encounter unpressured wildlife. Please REJECT the amendment to S.140, the Wildfire Prevention Act, that nullifies the 2001 Roadless Rule. PLEASE stop the 2001 Roadless Rule from getting nullified! Our national lands are a precious sacred collective legacy. Do not allow rape and pillage, mining, exploiting and polluting.
