Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has taken a series of documented, dangerous actions that are actively undermining the health and safety of the American public. I urge you to begin impeachment proceedings against Secretary Kennedy and hold him accountable for his misconduct in office.
The damage caused under his leadership is not theoretical or ideological—it is measurable, ongoing, and deadly. Below are specific actions he has taken that, in my view as a constituent, constitute grounds for removal:
⸻
1. Politicizing Vaccine Policy During a Public Health Crisis
• On June 9, 2025, Secretary Kennedy abruptly dismissed the entire CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), despite assurances to Congress that he would leave it intact.
• He reversed longstanding CDC recommendations for COVID-19 vaccinations in children and pregnant people, without scientific review. These decisions threaten vaccine uptake and public trust during active outbreaks.
2. Crippling the Federal Health Workforce
• He approved mass layoffs of over 20,000 employees across HHS agencies, including the CDC, NIH, and FDA. These cuts have damaged the government’s ability to respond to disease outbreaks, process drug approvals, and manage public health emergencies.
• The American Public Health Association called these decisions “thoughtless and dangerous.”
3. Endangering Lives During a Measles Outbreak
• During a widespread measles outbreak in Texas, HHS canceled more than 50 vaccination clinics and removed key staff. Two children died. Rather than restore response efforts, Secretary Kennedy publicly endorsed unproven alternative treatments.
4. Attacking Civil Rights in Health Care
• In February 2025, he stripped federal protections for transgender Americans by redefining “sex” in federal health programs, setting civil rights protections back by decades.
⸻
These are not policy disagreements—they are documented actions that have caused preventable harm, eroded public health capacity, and placed ideology over science and safety. These actions meet the threshold for “high crimes and misdemeanors” under federal law.
I urge you to do your duty under the Constitution: file and support articles of impeachment against Secretary Kennedy and call for his immediate removal from office.
