Vote NO on the "No Rogue Rulings Act" HR 1526

Please vote NO on HR 1526 the "No Rogue Rulings Act." Federal district courts play a critical role in our government's system of checks and balances. Injunctive relief is one tool in this system used to rein in executive overreach. This tool blocks implementation of federal policies that could cause irreparable harm. Injunctions allow courts to stop or minimize attacks on civil rights and the liberties of thousands of people who may be similarly positioned as litigants in a specific case but yet to bring their case to court. The result would be a patchwork of rights or conflicting rulings. Access to constitutional rights should not depend on variables, such as where a person lives or what district court is seeing their case. This legislation could put the executive branch outside the reach of the law for the years it takes cases to be resolved on their merits. There are no kings in America, although the super rich are certainly wealthy enough to waste time and money on this delaying tactic. It is not practical for the average American to bring their own lawsuit seeking relief. Class action suits are costly and time-consuming. I urge you to vote NO on this resolution, and similar efforts to undermine the judiciary's ability to uphold the rule of law and protect civil rights.
