I’m writing to demand immediate action to stop the catastrophic dismantling of our government agencies and to remove the so-called “Director of Government Efficiency” (DOGE). This position has done nothing but decimate critical programs, cancel contracts, and throw thousands of hardworking Americans out of their jobs—including me. I lost my job because of these reckless shutdowns. And I’m not alone. Across the country, entire teams of dedicated professionals—analysts, public servants, community workers—are being terminated, furloughed, or left in limbo. What do you think is going to happen when thousands more are added to the ranks of the unemployed? To make matters worse, unemployment services and support programs are crumbling. Grants that fund retraining, job search assistance, and emergency aid are being terminated daily. There is less and less help available even as more people are being forced out of work. Without access to new opportunities or support, the risk of homelessness is growing for thousands of us. That’s not hyperbole—it’s reality. This is not fiscal responsibility. It’s sabotage. You have the power and the duty to intervene. I urge you to speak out, to legislate, and to put an end to this administrative destruction. The American people need functioning government services—not propaganda, not power grabs, and not forced unemployment. I’m asking you directly: will you stand with the workers, or will you continue to stay silent while our government is hollowed out from the inside?
