I ask that you call Hegseth in front of Congress, demand answers, and make him and his members of his cabinet, pay for their crimes against humanity.
Disturbing evidence is emerging that the Pentagon’s recent decisions to strike boats and then bomb the survivors in the Caribbean were both plainly criminal and directed from the very top. Yet as powerful members of Congress from both parties demand answers and public concern mounts, this illegal campaign is only escalating.
More than 100 people have already been killed in dozens of strikes across the Caribbean and Pacific without authorization from Congress, and Hegseth himself has vowed to press on.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration continues to stonewall and offer vague excuses, blaming the “fog of war” for the killing of two shipwrecked survivors on September 2 — an act that would be considered a war crime if we were actually at war, and amounts to murder nonetheless.
We deserve to know the truth. The only way we’ll get it? By calling for Hegseth’s public, sworn testimony for his role in this illegal campaign. I ask that you call Hegseth in front of Congress immediately and demand answer.
