Citizen care
To: V.P. Harris
From: A constituent in Ocala, FL
August 19
Thank you for your service to the American people.
Please, please reconsider your policy on free medical care for
everyone.
I live in Florida. A RED state. I am disabled. Because I became a stay at home mom whose husband left and remarried, I have no social security to count on.
When I apply for any assistance, I get denied before my case is even heard.
I must rely on my now adult children for assistance. It is humiliating to go from an independent woman to this position.
I was well educated, grew up in upper middle class home… hell I graduated third in the police academy of 29 men and one other woman! I majored in the law. I loved my country and its constitution.
Yet now, I have lost dreams, broken teeth and way too many unaddressed health issues to write about.
When our own government doesn’t care about you, how are we supposed to care about it?
Please don’t let us down. Don’t give in to the Republicans when you take office. Do what is right for the people. Take care of America’s children and they will care for her in return.
