The Stop the Hate Program is needed now more than ever. In the past two weeks we’ve seen an explosive rollback of the Civil Rights movement by the Supreme Court and Southern legislatures, and a Republican legislator just admitted Rep. Clyburn’s South Carolina district was redrawn for being too Black. The President just reposted a call for the country’s only Black President to be arrested. There is one Black candidate for Governor of California and he’s the most progressive and experienced in California government, yet my own representatives endorsed a white billionaire who got rich growing the carceral state - a direct continuation of slavery - and whose brother runs white evangelical-coded Common Sense Media. And that reminds me that the people of California only a year and a half ago voted NOT to end slavery… Please renew the Stop the Hate Program. Letting it sunset now is just insulting.
