Urgent Action Needed: Protect Constitution Through Impeachment Process

I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to protect our Constitution by initiating impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump. Recent developments have added to the already substantial grounds for impeachment, and I believe it is crucial for Congress to act swiftly in defense of our democratic institutions.
Free Speech For People, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to preserving constitutional rights, has recently updated their list of impeachable offenses committed by President Trump. This list now includes 25 distinct grounds, any one of which could serve as a basis for articles of impeachment. Two particularly alarming additions stand out:
First, President Trump's executive order designating "Antifa" as a terrorist organization raises serious constitutional concerns. This action allows federal agencies to target individuals based on their perceived association with antifa, potentially violating First Amendment rights. Experts define antifa as an ideology rather than an organized group, making this designation both inappropriate and dangerous to civil liberties.
Second, the President's recent interference in the justice system is deeply troubling. He fired a federal prosecutor who refused to prosecute his political adversaries, attempted to nominate a personal lawyer with no prosecutorial experience to fill the role, and publicly ordered his attorney general to prosecute specific individuals. These actions represent a clear abuse of power and an attempt to weaponize the justice system for personal political gain.
As a Member of Congress, you have sworn an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. This oath compels you to use all available tools, including the impeachment process, to address a president who consistently acts outside the bounds of law. House Rule IX allows any Member of the House to introduce articles of impeachment and force a floor vote, providing a direct path to hold the President accountable.
The integrity of our democracy and the rule of law are at stake. I implore you to act now by introducing articles of impeachment based on these well-documented grounds. Our nation cannot afford further delay in addressing these serious breaches of constitutional duty. Your leadership in this critical moment will be remembered as a courageous stand for the principles that underpin our republic.
