Stop Musk's hostile takeover jeopardizing federal employee data
To: Sen. Banks, Sen. Young

It is deeply concerning that Elon Musk's team is locking out career civil servants and disrupting access to critical government systems containing personal data on millions of federal employees. This unilateral action by Musk appointees, without proper oversight or cybersecurity measures, poses significant risks to data integrity and privacy. Such moves undermine the principles of good governance and threaten to erode public trust in institutions. I urge you to take immediate action to halt these reckless actions by Musk's allies at the Office of Personnel Management. Restore full access and authority to career officials who have dedicated their lives to public service. Ensure robust oversight mechanisms are in place to safeguard sensitive employee data and prevent potential misuse or exploitation. The federal workforce deserves to have their personal information protected, not jeopardized by a hostile corporate takeover advancing unclear agendas. Preserving the nonpartisan integrity of the civil service is paramount to maintaining an effective and accountable government that works for all Americans. Unchecked disruptions that compromise operations, sideline expertise, and potentially expose private records cannot be tolerated. I implore you to intervene and uphold the institutions that millions of hard-working public servants rely upon.
