Bring H.R. 2550 to the Senate Floor and Stand With Federal Employees
To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley
From: A verified voter in Kansas City, MO
August 5
I am writing to urge you to do everything in your power to help bring H.R. 2550, the Protect America’s Workforce Act, to the Senate floor for a vote. The legislation has already passed the House with bipartisan support. The hard work has been done. Now it is time for the Senate to act. Please work with your colleagues to bring this bill forward and vote YES.
Federal employees have endured constant attacks under this administration. Policies championed by Russell Vought have weakened federal agencies, damaged morale, disrupted public services, and created unnecessary fear and uncertainty for the dedicated public servants who keep our government functioning every day. These actions have not strengthened government. They have undermined it.
Our federal workforce deserves respect, stability, and the ability to serve the American people without being treated as political targets. Passing H.R. 2550 would be an important step toward restoring fairness and protecting the rights of federal employees.
Your constituents are paying attention. We want elected officials who stand up for working people, not politicians who remain silent while federal employees are attacked. If you expect to earn another term in office, you must demonstrate that you care about the people you represent, not just political agendas. Your recent decisions have left many of us questioning whether our voices matter. Supporting H.R. 2550 is an opportunity to show that they do.
Please work across party lines to bring this legislation to the Senate floor without further delay, and when it comes to a vote, please vote YES on H.R. 2550, the Protect America’s Workforce Act.
I appreciate your time and hope you will choose to stand with the federal employees and families who rely on your leadership.
