Co-Sponsor the FAIR Elections Act to Keep Voter Rolls Out of Federal Hands

To: Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego, Rep. Hamadeh

From: A verified voter in Phoenix, AZ

June 13

Co-sponsor the FAIR Elections Act, introduced by Sen. Jeff Merkley. The Constitution reserves election administration to the states, and the federal government has no business building national citizenship databases to override state voter rolls. That's not a partisan position — it's the founding framework of this country. The Trump administration is using federal databases like the SAVE program to cross-reference state voter data and flag citizens as noncitizens. SAVE has already produced thousands of false positives, meaning eligible voters are being stripped from the rolls based on bad data they have no power to challenge. The FAIR Elections Act stops this overreach, prevents purges based on unverified information, and gives wrongly removed voters the right to sue for damages. This bill also tackles AI-generated disinformation — fake polling locations, false deadlines, deepfakes targeting election workers — which is a direct attack on the integrity of every election in every state. Support this legislation and stand up for the constitutional principle that states, not Washington, run our elections.
