I’m writing to voice my anger that an unelected billionaire, Elon Musk, and his henchmen, are being given access to sensitive, personal and private information at the Treasury Department and allowed access to the payment system for the entire federal government. This amounts to the most significant data breach in cyber history and violates privacy laws in Illinois as well as every other state. I did not provide permission for these non-elected goons to have access to my personal information including my social security number. They must be stopped. Please work with our State AG to pursue criminal charges. Musk and the Trump administration must not be allowed to dismantle whole swaths of our administrative system and staff under the ruse of “efficiency.” What a joke. This must end, now. One unqualified so-called businessman in a position of increasingly unfettered power is more than this nation can take, let alone Musk and the rest of the US tech oligarchs that are kissing the ring and who bought their way into favor. Who does this government serve? I wanted you to know that I appreciate all of your efforts to stand up for democracy, loudly, without relenting. You help make the people of Illinois feel respected, represented and protected. Keep at it!
