I’m writing at the urging of Pope Leo XIV, who has asked all people of goodwill to reject this war and to call on their political leaders to do the same. I’m asking you to publicly oppose the war in Iran. The Holy Father has called it unjust. He has begged the world to lay down its weapons and come back to the table. As a person of faith and as a constituent, I am standing with Pope Leo. I am asking you to do the same. Please vote against any further escalation, against any further appropriations for this war, and for an immediate ceasefire and return to diplomacy. Thank you. Peace and all good things to you.
