Reconsider discriminatory policy denying care to military families
To: Pres. Biden
From: A constituent in Minneapolis, MN
December 20
The decision to deny medically necessary healthcare to transgender children of military service members is deeply concerning. Our brave service members and their families make immense sacrifices to protect our nation, and in return, they deserve to have their health needs met without discrimination. Denying essential care jeopardizes the well-being of these children and undermines the trust we place in our troops to make appropriate decisions for their families. This provision perpetuates harmful stigma and goes against our values of compassion and equal rights. I urge you to reconsider this misguided policy that compromises the welfare of military families and instead uphold our commitment to supporting all those who serve our country selflessly.
