I am an Arkansas resident and constituent writing to demand immediate action regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and its ongoing pattern of illegal, unconstitutional, and violent behavior. ICE agents are illegally detaining, disappearing, injuring, and killing both undocumented immigrants and U.S. citizens. They are operating without warrants, going door to door demanding papers, and actively preventing the public from observing, documenting, and peacefully protesting their actions. These practices violate fundamental constitutional rights, including: • The Fourth Amendment (unlawful searches and seizures) • The First Amendment (freedom of speech, assembly, and press) • The Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments (due process and equal protection) I am especially alarmed that ICE has been granted what amounts to blanket immunity, allowing agents to commit acts that would otherwise be criminal, without consequence. No agency in a democratic society should be empowered to operate above the law—particularly one that uses violence against the people it claims to police. This is not law enforcement. It is state-sanctioned abuse. I am calling for: • Immediate congressional oversight and investigation of ICE • Impeachment of officials who authorized or enabled these abuses • The full defunding and dismantling of ICE as it currently exists Arkansas residents do not consent to secret policing, extrajudicial violence, or the erosion of our civil liberties. I expect you to uphold the Constitution, protect your constituents, and take a clear stand against these crimes. I am paying attention, and I vote.
