I am absolutely furious at Senator Chuck Schumer's cowardice in refusing to vote against cloture on the funding bill. This is not just a failure of leadership; it’s a betrayal of every single voter who believed in the Democratic Party's principles. Anyone who supports this bill, including Schumer, is nothing less than a de facto Republican. Let me be clear: if Schumer and other Dem senators choose to side with this destructive agenda, they should not expect to continue their political careers unchallenged. I am prepared to mobilize and encourage a primary anyone who votes for this bill, and they will face the consequences of their betrayal. The Democrats should be fighting tooth and nail against the Republican agenda, not capitulating to it! A government shutdown would be a clear message that we will not tolerate this takeover of our government. When it causes chaos for the Republicans, then let it fall squarely on their shoulders. Schumer's lack of spine and failure to stand up for us is intolerable. We demand that he either resign or, at the very least, step down from leadership. We need leaders who will fight for our values, not people who are willing to sell us out for political expediency. The time for niceties is over; we demand accountability, and we will not accept anything less. I urge you to take a stand against Schumer's cowardice and make it clear that anyone who votes for this bill will face serious repercussions. I will not allow anyone who betrays us to remain in power without a fight.
