As the news reports today, Greenland’s Prime Minister has called on his people to be ready for an invasion by our military. If we do attempt such an invasion it is very likely that NATO member countries would respond and potentially counter-strike. Ohio is a northern border state. With the diversion of much of the Coast Guard’s personnel to the southern border, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic waters around Venezuela we are dangerously exposed. Lake Erie’s southern shore needs reinforcement immediately if we invade Greenland unless you somehow think Canada won’t attempt to capture Put-in-Bay, Kelley’s Island, Toledo, Sandusky, Lorain, Cleveland, Mentor, Painesville, Ashtabula, and Conneaut in retaliation. The time for consequences management is now before the President escalates into a disaster that could result in the Maple Leaf flying over Cleveland’s city hall. Please act.
