How is it legal for Trump to be president? How is it legal for him to oust those who prosecuted against him in a fair trial? If he can do that then who’s to say he cant restructure all of the checks and balances of the US government? What makes us think that congress is safe? This is fascism. Is it not illegal to buy votes? Didn’t Elon Musk offer $100 to anyone who voted for Trump? Now. Right now. This is a crossroads for The United States. On one path, there is an opportunity to strike down a potential tyrant and oligarchy and make policy that prevents future tyranny. We have discovered cracks in the system that allowed this to happen. This is a window of opportunity that is closing fast for unprecedented action against fascism. On the other path, congress rolls over and plays dead. There is no limit to the potential for destruction and chaos on that path. Is Trump a man that should be given limitless power. What about the friends who got him there? Should they have limitless power? Just because a sitting president has never been ousted before doesn’t mean it is impossible or unwarranted. Congress must get control of this situation on behalf of the American people. Not only that, but The United States serves as an example for the rest of the world. If we fall to tyranny, who will save us? That has always been a role that we took on. I remember reading of an official proposal to exile the homeless from cities to encampments. That means there has already been talk of camps. Current leadership has dystopian plans with the unlimited financial backing of a man who gave a Nazi salute on broadcast television. The problem is that it already feels like it’s too late. Can you prove me wrong?
