An Open Letter

To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley, Rep. Graves

From: A constituent in Plattsburg, MO

February 19

You have specifically stated that the US cannot be spending millions of dollars in foreign military actions, such as Ukraine. However, this last year, your administration has launched at least 658 air and drone strikes against Iraq, Somalia, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Nigeria, and Venezuela. You have forcefully removed the President of Venezuela and are threatening regime change in Iran after massive bombings in that country. Just this week, U.S. Southern Command announced it struck three boats in the eastern Pacific and the Caribbean yesterday and killed 11 people it claims were smuggling drugs, bringing the total of such strikes to more than 40 and the number of dead to more than 130. Please respond and tell me HOW all these actions can be squared with your story that we cannot be spending US taxpayer dollars for foreign military action. I would guess these actions amount to hundreds of millions of dollars. I expect an answer – this looks like complete hypocrisy does it not?
