The needless Iran war is a waste of money, time, and, American lives

To: Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

March 13

This Republican administration’s war in Iran started without a clear rationale, a plan, or approval from Congress. It has no rational, clearly-stated goal, and no coherent endgame in sight. So far, the administration has removed Ayatollah Khomeini and replaced him with a younger, more fanatical Ayatollah Khomeini. It has intentionally attacked civilian targets, including a girls’ elementary school—all war crimes. The ‘Secretary of War’ has announced the administration will give “no quarter” to Iranian combatants—also a war crime. This administration is spending upwards of $1 BILLION A DAY of our taxpayer money on this illegal and needless war at a time when funding for schools, healthcare, and veterans has been cut. At a time when Americans are struggling to afford groceries and housing. This needless war is a waste of money, time, and, increasingly, American lives. How many more Americans will die because of this Republican administration’s short-sighted aggression? Congress must use its oversight authority to stop this illegal war. Demand public hearings in Congress about the war. Americans deserve to know the reasons we are fighting. My wife and I urge you and your fellow members of Congress to end this war as quickly as possible.
