I am writing to express my vehement opposition to President Donald Trump’s decision to escalate military action against Iran and to urge you to oppose further military involvement. The initiation of major combat operations in Iran represents a dangerous escalation that puts American service members, civilians, and the broader region at great risk. Rather than reducing threats to our security, this approach threatens to trigger a wider conflict with unpredictable and devastating consequences. I believe that the United States should pursue diplomacy and de-escalation, not unilateral military action that could lead to years of conflict and loss of life. Our focus must be on protecting American lives and pursuing peaceful solutions, not actions that make war more likely. Please oppose further escalation and armed conflict, and instead support efforts that prioritize diplomacy, careful oversight, and the safety of all Americans.
