End Operation Epic Fury Now Before More Lives Are Lost

To: Rep. McClintock, Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla

From: A constituent in El Dorado Hills, CA

March 11

Congress must immediately exercise its constitutional authority to end Operation Epic Fury. This reckless war of choice was launched without congressional authorization, without clearly defined objectives, and without an exit strategy. Seven Americans have already died for a strategy that has completely failed. Trump expected quick regime change after killing the Ayatollah on February 28th. Instead, Iran named a new supreme leader and the regime didn't collapse. Now the administration can't even explain what we're fighting for. Defense Secretary Hegseth says it's not regime change while Trump told TIME he wants a "Western-friendly government" installed. Senator Mark Warner noted the stated goals have changed four or five times in ten days. This incoherence is getting people killed. The war is destabilizing the Middle East, damaging the global economy, and wasting resources while Trump searches desperately for an exit. He told CBS the war was "very complete, pretty much" before the Pentagon contradicted him hours later. Iran's government won't fall when they have this war to rally support. Every day this continues without congressional action makes you complicit in an unconstitutional conflict run by someone who has publicly admitted he wants out.
