The harassment of gender “non-conforming” /non-binary/transgendered individuals must stop. Now the administration is increasing pressure on children and their families. (NYT article “ Trump Administration Investigating Gender Treatments at Mount Sinai” for the most recent expression of this egregious behavior) Gender confirmation treatment is not limited to surgery (aka “mutilation,” according to the administration) puberty blockers, etc. Gender confirmation treatment includes conditions like gynecomastia in cis-gender males. Medical treatments for minors are the responsibility of the parents and the physicians, not the government. (Vaccine requirements aside, for the moment.). The US is following the path of some of the most torturous, depraved, and evil regimes is history. This must be stopped LGBTQIA+ rights are human rights. Children’s rights are human rights. Children are our future.
