NO SECURITY MONEY FOR ISRAEL OR ABUSIVE GOVERNMENTS: HR8595
To: Sen. Bennet, Rep. Crow, Sen. Hickenlooper
From: A verified voter in Littleton, CO
June 26
Congress must take every possible step to stop H.R. 8595 from sending billions in U.S. security assistance to Israel and other governments with documented records of human rights abuses. I am demanding that my Representative and Senators: Vote YES on the Massie amendment to H.R. 8595 that strips the $3.3 billion in Foreign Military Financing for Israel. Vote NO on final passage of H.R. 8595 if any military, security, weapons, training, normalization, or anti-BDS provisions for Israel remain. Oppose any rule, en bloc package, procedural maneuver, conference report, continuing resolution, or backroom deal that protects Israel funding or prevents recorded votes on anti-war amendments. Support amendments to block, condition, or strip military and security assistance to governments credibly implicated in serious human rights abuses, including Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Morocco, the Philippines, Ecuador, and any other recipient whose forces violate human rights. Oppose funding streams that deepen U.S. military partnerships with abusive governments, including Foreign Military Financing, International Military Education and Training, Foreign Military Sales support, Direct Commercial Sales, Excess Defense Articles, security-sector training, counterterrorism programs, interoperability programs, and police or military aid. Reject any provision that expands the Abraham Accords, Israel normalization agreements, anti-BDS reporting, or U.S.-backed regional security cooperation while Palestinians are being subjected to genocide, occupation, apartheid, starvation, forced displacement, and mass killing. Do not use the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, or any other normalization partner to launder support for Israel’s military or expand a U.S.-Israel-centered security bloc in the region. Enforce U.S. and international law before any money, weapons, training, or security cooperation moves. That includes the Foreign Assistance Act, Arms Export Control Act, Leahy Law, end-use monitoring requirements, and international humanitarian law. Demand recorded votes. Do not allow this funding to pass by voice vote, unanimous consent, suspension, continuing resolution, omnibus, conference report, or NDAA backdoor. U.S. taxpayer dollars should fund healthcare, housing, education, disaster relief, and support systems at home — not bombs, weapons, surveillance, repression, or normalization deals with abusive governments. This is a red-line issue. I will not support any member of Congress who votes to fund, arm, train, shield, or normalize military partnerships with Israel or other governments committing serious human rights abuses. Vote YES to strip Israel’s $3.3 billion. Vote NO on final passage if this funding remains.
