I am writing to express my outrage and utter disgust at your vote in favor of the recent budget bill. You have betrayed your constituents. You have sold out everyday Americans—families, workers, the elderly, children—for the benefit of billionaires, corporate PACs, and powerful lobbyists. This bill is a disgraceful transfer of wealth upward, gutting programs that support the most vulnerable in our communities while handing tax cuts and favors to those who least need them. And to make matters worse, this bill pours more funding into ICE—an agency already plagued by lawlessness, secrecy, and human rights abuses. These are the same thugs who operate in the shadows, often unaccountable, disappearing people from their homes and communities. Giving them more money, more power, and more impunity is a terrifying escalation. What we’ve seen from them so far is bad enough—what comes next will be far worse. Your vote reveals a profound lack of moral courage and a deep contempt for the people you claim to represent. You are not serving the public—you are serving power and greed. And you should be ashamed. History will not remember you kindly. You will be known as one of the very worst examples of what this country has to offer—self-serving politicians who undermine democracy and justice for a paycheck and a pat on the back from the powerful. We see you. We will remember your vote. And we will do everything we can to ensure that you are held accountable. Shame on you.
