NO to the attempt to suspend Habeas Corpus

To: Sen. Hickenlooper, Sen. Bennet, Rep. Hurd

From: A constituent in Grand Junction, CO

May 9

Steven Miller just spoke with the press about the White House looking into suspending Habeas Corpus, which provides against unlawful detention. Miller said, "A lot of it depends on whether the courts do the right thing or not." The judiciary is the only branch of the government that seems to be doing the "right thing." We are not under invasion. There is no justification for suspending our constitutional rights. This White House and Steven Miller are overstepping at every turn, and it's unlawful and unconstitutional. Please encourage your fellow house, representatives, and senators to speak out against this.
