Do you actually care about children at all? I’m asking seriously. The issues behind this shutdown directly affect CHILDREN - and you’re refusing to act. You’re refusing to negotiate on continuing affordable health insurance for families. You’re standing by silent while ICE pulls children out of their beds in the middle of the night and throws them naked into trucks. And not least of all, you’re allowing child sex traffickers and the sexual predators among you to face no accountability for their disgusting actions, by not demanding the release of the Epstein files. These should not even be partisan questions. We are shut down right now because you are putting your political greed and career before protecting the vulnerable. It looks an awful lot like the GOP only cares about children when it’s a talking point against the left. Because when you have a chance to actually protect children’s welfare with legislation that might possibly cost your billionaires even a little, financially or legally, it’s absolutely crickets. You’ve sold out the well-being of CHILDREN for your political gain. I don’t know if you are just scared to stand up to the godless, vindictive man in office, or if you’re truly this morally bankrupt. But your choices are actively, directly causing and perpetuating suffering in children. Shame on you. Your “family values” are a sham. Calling yourself “pro-life” when your actions are enabling such harms is an absolute misnomer. And you can never “make America great” when you refuse to protect the children, its future. You have made these glowing terms into meaningless propaganda by your actions. For the love of God, if you have any conscience left in you, at least stand up for the children.
