Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Just a reminder of what the climate will be like for the GOP from here until November…
A new survey by KFF (Kaiser Family Foundation) details the implications of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade among reproductive-aged women.
It found that an overwhelming majority of women ages 18 to 49 years old oppose the policy of leaving abortion rights up to individual states, which is the stance former president Donald Trump has adopted.
Seven in 10 of the women surveyed say they don’t approve of states deciding abortion policy, including 53 percent of Republicans, 73 percent of independents and 86 percent of Democrats. One in 3 women live in a state where abortion is banned or severely restricted, according to a Washington Post analysis.
Campaigning in New Jersey in May, Donald Trump told the crowd, “I want to thank the six Supreme Court justices, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Coney Barrett for having the wisdom and courage to end Roe v. Wade.”
Courage indeed. You caught the car. Now deal with it.
