I am writing to you with a heavy heart. I never imagined I would see the day when our own country seemed to be turning against itself — when the federal government would deploy National Guard troops selectively, only into Democratic-led cities.
If this is true, it raises a deeply troubling question: When did we stop being the United States and become a nation at war with itself? The National Guard is meant to protect all Americans — not to serve as a political weapon or a show of power against certain communities or leaders.
This growing division is breaking the spirit of the country. We are all Americans. We all deserve safety, fairness, and equal treatment under the law, regardless of where we live or how we vote. Watching troops sent into some cities and not others feels like a punishment — and it fuels fear, resentment, and hopelessness when what we need most is healing.
Senator, I am asking you to demand transparency and accountability for these deployments. The public deserves clear answers:
Who is authorizing these troop movements, and based on what criteria?
Why are certain cities being targeted?
How will we ensure that the National Guard is never used for partisan or political purposes?
Please, use your voice to bring us back together as one nation. We need leadership that calms tensions, not deepens them. We need courage that reminds us we are all in this together.
Thank you for your time, and for standing up for unity, fairness, and the values that define America.
