These arms sales funnel $8.8 billion in U.S. taxpayer funds to provide the Netanyahu government with devastating bombs and munitions to continue its assault on Gaza's densely populated civilian areas. While Hamas initiated hostilities, Netanyahu's disproportionate response qualifies as war crimes by indiscriminately killing over 50,000 Palestinian civilians, including thousands of women and children. Continuing to bankroll such atrocities with taxpayer dollars makes Americans complicit in ethnic cleansing and violating international law. Congress must heed the people's opposition to these arms sales that only perpetuate this illegal, immoral carnage against a trapped civilian population.
