I am writing to urge you to take immediate action on the ongoing crisis in Gaza. Despite the comprehensive ceasefire agreement reached on October 10, 2025, the Israeli government continues to violate the truce almost daily, killing hundreds of Palestinians, injuring many more, and demolishing thousands of buildings. The UN has characterized these actions as genocide, and I need you to stand firmly against this continued violence.
I am deeply concerned about the Trump administration's plans to take over and rebuild Gaza through a "Board of Peace" composed largely of Trump's inner circle. Jared Kushner presented a plan at Davos for skyscrapers and luxury resorts that appears designed to enrich those involved rather than help Palestinians. This is unacceptable. Gaza's reconstruction must serve the Palestinian people who have endured unimaginable suffering, not become a profit center for oligarchs.
I also oppose any new Memorandum of Understanding outlining future US-Israeli military coordination. Current discussions about "tapering off" the existing MOU distract from Heritage Foundation recommendations to elevate Israel to a partnership role with billions in "Partnership Investment Incentives" that would require Israel to spend money on American military hardware. This would entrench military financing under a different name while bypassing accountability measures.
I ask you to reject any occupation of Gaza by Israeli forces, support rebuilding Gaza for the Palestinian people rather than luxury developments benefiting Trump and his associates, oppose any new military financing partnership with Israel, support resolutions to block the sale of offensive weaponry to Israel, and support a resolution calling for US recognition of a Palestinian state to advance a two-state solution.
The people of Gaza deserve security, self-determination, and a reconstruction process that serves their needs. I urge you to take a principled stand on these critical issues.
