I am one of your constituents, and I am asking you — plainly and urgently — to act to protect this country. I need you to support impeachment proceedings against President Trump, and I need you to do it now. What is happening is not politics as usual. Senator Mark Warner, the Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, has publicly warned that the Trump administration appears to be laying the groundwork to seize control of the 2026 elections. At an open Senate hearing on March 18, 2026, he pointed out that for the first time since 2017, the annual intelligence threat assessment contained no mention of foreign election interference — not because the threat is gone, but because the assessment appears to have been politically manipulated. He warned that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard may be building a false pretext of foreign interference that the administration could use to justify federal takeover of our elections. She has already participated in an FBI raid on a county election office in Georgia and seized voting machines in Puerto Rico. These are not the actions of an administration that respects the rule of law. The SAVE America Act makes this worse. Independent analysts at the Brennan Center for Justice and the Campaign Legal Center have confirmed that this legislation would block millions of eligible American citizens — not non-citizens, citizens — from being able to register to vote. Utah just completed a comprehensive review of over two million registered voters and found exactly one confirmed non-citizen registration and zero instances of non-citizen voting. The problem this law claims to solve does not exist. What it would do is eliminate online registration, end mail-in registration, and require millions of Americans to appear in person with documents that more than 140 million of us do not have. This is voter suppression, and it is being rushed through as the 2026 elections approach. The president has also made statements suggesting he deserves a third term, praised authoritarian rule, and advanced military plans that legal experts have described as potential war crimes — including threats to civilian infrastructure. I did not think I would ever write a letter like this. But I believe we are at a point where the normal processes of oversight are not enough, and where every day of inaction makes the situation worse. You took an oath to defend the Constitution. I am asking you to honor it. Please support impeachment, push back on efforts to suppress the vote, and stand up publicly for the independence of our elections. This country is counting on you.
