I'm writing to ask the Senator to demand that the FDA and HHS restore the officials, laboratories, and inspection protocols that have been cut under the Trump administration. These agencies are responsible for keeping our food safe, and it’s crucial that they have the staff and resources they need to do their jobs. I'm very tired of needing to stand in the grocery store isles checking for the latest outbreaks of salmonella or cyclosporiasis before buying my produce.
