ICE abductions

To: Rep. Self, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Frisco, TX

January 16

Want to make sure you are aware of what YOU are allowing to happen. Thirty-two (32) people have died in ICE custody in 2025 THAT WE KNOW ABOUT. Since ICE detention is kind of a black box, we can’t be sure if that’s an accurate count. **U.S. citizens are being detained by ICE without warrants or hearings (which are required by law for EVERYONE on U.S. soil, citizen or not). The use of “Kavanaugh stops” (a Supreme Court ruling that if people look like they might be immigrants, ICE can detain them) has resulted in illegal detention of many U.S. citizens, including members of Native American tribes and people of Puerto Rican descent. **Two (2) U.S. citizens (that we know of) have been killed by ICE agents in the first month of 2026: Renee Good and Keith Porter (although the agent who killed Porter was off duty). YOU are guilty of allowing this since you have done nothing to end it. If you think this is ok, then go out and talk to AND listen to the protesters and the U.S. Citizens and the immigrants who are being grabbed when they are NOT guilty of a crime and are showing up for their immigration appointments but still getting abducted by ICE. But, be careful, ICE may abduct you too!
