Investigate $TRUMP Coin and Emoluments Clause

To: Sen. Cassidy, Rep. Fields, Sen. Kennedy

From: A constituent in Baton Rouge, LA

April 24

I am writing to express my concern regarding the recent developments surrounding the $TRUMP meme coin and its potential implications for ethical governance and constitutional compliance. As you may be aware, the $TRUMP coin has surged in value following promises of exclusive dinners with President Trump for top holders of the token. The Trump Organization reportedly holds 80% of the token supply, raising questions about financial gain and influence. This situation appears to intersect with the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits government officials from receiving profit or advantage from foreign powers or domestic entities. The possibility of foreign individuals or governments purchasing these tokens to gain access to the president is particularly troubling. I urge you to investigate whether this cryptocurrency project violates the Emoluments Clause or other ethical standards. Transparency and accountability are essential to maintaining public trust in our government. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and any actions you may take to address these concerns.
