I hope you are sharing in the joy of the overwhelming Democrat victories nationwide. I am so hopeful for what can be achieved now in PA and in the US, including utilizing the Dem majority in the US House and Senate to hold the members of the Trump Administration accountable for their corruption and myriad crimes. To that end, I am asking that you do not support Senator Schumer for Senate Majority Leader. Even in these few hours since polls closed yesterday, Senator Schumer's messaging regarding the plan and goals for the Democrat-majority legislature have lacked energy, urgency, or any semblance of connection with the reality of what the voters want from the officials they just worked to elect. The Democrats in the legislature can and must focus not only on legislation that promotes affordability, but also on holding members of the Trump administration and those even tangentially affiliated with ICE accountable for their crimes. The voters are desperate for justice, and I do not believe Senator Schumer is willing or able to do the work and the fighting and the whipping and the messaging needed to hold Trump and his administration accountable. It is so vital to build on yesterday's momentum into 2028 and beyond, and anything less than commitment to seeking justice for those wronged by the Trump Administration will be a gross betrayal of the electorate and disillusion voters to inaction. Please support a public process for determining a new majority leader for the Senate, and support a leader who demonstrates stalwart commitment to working towards BOTH affordability AND accountability.
