Please support Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act (H.R. 879), which would, effective April 1, prospectively cancel the 2.83% payment cut that went into effect on Jan. 1, while also providing a 2.0% payment update. I am a physician working for LA County DHS. My colleagues cannot afford paycuts and if Medicaid gets gutted by house republicans, children and the poor will be harmed. Physicians are not getting paid enough and are taking on more and more of the burden, but we won’t be able to work and realistically sustain practice costs during this uncertain financial time. Please help us help patients. Treat physicians with compassion and dignity. Stop PBMS from gutting healthcare and insurance companies for profit industry to create hoops of prior authorizations that harm patients.
