Support Decentralized Leadership and Transparent Governance Reform

To: Sen. Alsobrooks, Rep. Elfreth, Sen. Van Hollen

From: A verified voter in Arnold, MD

March 1

I am writing to urge you to champion a fundamental transformation in how our government operates by embracing decentralized leadership and radical transparency. The current system has been corrupted by special interests, with politicians voting on unread bills written by corporations, making unkept promises, and operating without meaningful accountability. I am asking you to pioneer a new approach that makes constituents directly involved in decision-making. This would require building a transparent, decentralized platform separate from government control where citizens participate in policy discussions before votes are cast. Every meeting you attend should be video recorded in real-time, all bills should be posted online for constituent input before you vote, and all contracts and policies should be made fully transparent. This system has proven successful in business, finance, and organizations. Decentralized leadership works because it harnesses collective intelligence and prevents the corruption that naturally gravitates toward centralized power. The platform would be built on-chain with an open-source ledger, include verification systems to prevent fraud and bots, and function as a parallel test for current government voting systems. The priority must be fixing corruption first, setting aside divisive hot-button issues until we restore integrity to the system. This means refusing corporate campaign finances, creating a listening society where constituents are included in policy-making, and establishing a culture where results matter most with clear goals, metrics, and honest evaluation. I recognize this represents a radical shift, but incremental reforms have failed. We need representatives willing to decentralize their own leadership and make the people the final authority. Once enough decentralized leaders work together across party lines, permanent legislative changes become possible. I urge you to be among the first to implement this approach. Will you commit to building a transparent, constituent-driven decision-making platform and making all your legislative activities fully visible to those you represent?
