An Open Letter

To: Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Doggett, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Cedar Park, TX

June 10

Do something to improve life for the average American instead of cutting or threatening to cut social safety nets and programs, like Social Security and Medicare, that Americans have paid into all their working lives. This war is raising prices for everyone. Do something fix that. End the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Vote to end tariffs. And the tax cuts for the wealthy. You have the power to prevent America’s slide into irrelevance. The government is turning a blind eye to corruption and lawlessness while spending a billion dollars a day on the war and authorizing ICE’s $30 billion dollar budget. Who are you going to tax to pay off the ballooning deficit once you’ve alienated our allies and trading partners and decimated the population of the US? The President now “loves inflation.” After already stating he “doesn’t think about Americans’ financial situation. [He] doesn’t think about anybody.” We elected you to think about us. Do it.
