This is an emergency plea for your urgent action.
The United Nations has just warned that 14,000 babies in Gaza could starve to death within days if the blockade isn’t lifted and aid is not immediately allowed in. On Monday, only 5 aid trucks were let through—a disgraceful and deadly failure. Meanwhile, hundreds of aid trucks are being blocked at the border, filled with lifesaving food and supplies.
The governments of the UK, France, and Canada have already condemned Israel’s restrictions on humanitarian aid as “wholly inadequate.” Their joint statement demanded an end to the military campaign and warned of “further concrete actions”—including sanctions—if Israel refuses to comply.
I am demanding the U.S. take immediate action. This includes:
• An immediate arms embargo on Israel.
• An immediate and complete lifting of the blockade. Let aid in—now.
• Sanctions on Israel for war crimes, including the use of mass starvation as a weapon.
•
The U.S. must stop supporting a government committing atrocities against civilians. Our continued alliance with a genocidal regime makes us complicit. Join with our allies in France, the UK, Canada, and humanitarian organizations to end the starvation, the killing, and the blockade.
Act now. Lives are hanging in the balance.
