First the state came for my job, and now I’ve spent the past few months in the process of buying a small business to start a new career. Because the state subsidies that kept me employed are now effectively over, my health insurance is coming to an end. I sold off assets and re-organize my debt in a move to buy a small business and start over. This includes getting a loan through the SBA, and I was a week away from closing when the government shut down. Now this entire deal hinges in the balance of the government reopening, so the SBA fund my loan. The irony of it all is that I will have to go to the open market for health insurance and as I’ve been shopping for it, I’ve watched premiums triple as a result of this current shutdown. I literally can’t catch a break, every time I turn around the government, whether it being state or federal has its hands in my pockets. The sheer lunacy that is happening at the federal level is unbelievably despicable, there is absolutely nothing going on that does any good for average Americans. I don’t even have to detail any of the things happening, as you well know, and are completely complicit. The Republicans and the Democrats are both complicit. What a completely shameful of our history. This is not what my grandfather fought in World War II for, and this is not what my father fought in Vietnam for. They did not fight for a bunch of billionaires to rule like autocrats, buying their way, they did not fight for Russia to destroy us from within. Both parties take money from the same people, to enact the same laws and policy that greatly benefit the few while stripping the many of what little they have. All of this, just to protect a bunch of pedophiles and money, launderers, gangsters and warmongers. Dictators. America has become a fascist theocracy, and the founding fathers would take up arms against our current government. You are no patriot, you are a traitor to the American people. You don’t represent me, you literally don’t represent anyone I know. Millions of Americans are struggling while our “leader“ plays golf and builds a golden gilded ballroom where he can hawk his meme coins, his stupid hats, where sick sycophants go worship at the altar of grift. You’ve taken my career, your actively in the middle of taking my other one, you’re taking my healthcare, you’re taking my money. Also a couple of billionaires can have everything. Our state is allowing a billionaire to build a massive data farm that will destroy our natural resources, offer no jobs, and spy on Americans. This is the actual legacy that you leave behind by your votes. In my 50 some years on this planet, I have watched America get worse and worse as each year goes by. I’ve spent a lifetime watching politicians lie, and I used to think we had no functional democracy but now we just don’t have a functional society. Every problem that America faces, is because of politicians. You are a cancer on a population.
