I’m writing to urge you to oppose HB 1223. This bill would allow police departments to hide body camera footage when someone is killed by law enforcement. This is a direct attack on government transparency and public accountability. Please vote NO and urge your colleagues to do the same. To vote yes would be a slap in the face of every constituent of Georgia. We are watching. Vote NO.
