I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of outrage over the wrongful deportation of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a United States citizen and father of three, who was deported to El Salvador on March 15.
This is horrifying. It is appalling. Even if we were to somehow accept the administration’s claim that this was a “mistake,” that mistake has real, devastating consequences for Mr. Abrego Garcia and his family. How is it acceptable that the President of the United States is not urgently and personally doing everything in his power to bring this man home? Why did it take the Supreme Court to step in to even begin to correct this injustice?
This administration's indifference to Mr. Abrego Garcia’s life and the lives of his children is chilling. It sends a terrifying message to every American: that their rights and humanity can be erased without due process, without accountability, and without remorse. How can our nation’s leadership act like they simply don’t care?
As your constituent, I demand that you publicly call on President Trump to take immediate action to bring Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia back to the United States. Not next week. Not when it becomes politically convenient. Now. This man is a U.S. citizen. His deportation was not just a bureaucratic error—it was a profound moral and legal failure. It must be corrected, and it must be corrected swiftly.
I urge you to stand up for justice, for human decency, and for the rule of law. Please use your voice and your position to demand that this administration right this wrong—loudly, publicly, and immediately.
Thank you for your time and for your attention to this urgent matter.
