The Republican party's current actions and rhetoric often seem to prioritize self-interest over principles of justice and human rights. Many of their policies disproportionately benefit the wealthy and powerful at the expense of working Americans. Their stances on issues like healthcare, education, and social services demonstrate a concerning disregard for the wellbeing of vulnerable communities. This trend of putting partisan politics above ethical governance is deeply troubling and antithetical to the ideals of a free society. We must demand leaders who will uphold the principles of liberty, equality, and human dignity for all citizens, not just their donors and base. A government that fails to respect fundamental rights and liberties ultimately betrays the people it is meant to serve.
